Construction and Runway Closure Update

Good Morning,

 

Runway 5/23 will be closed from 2300L to 0600L nightly from Monday, September 17th through Thursday, September 20th.

Runway 13-31 will remain open during this closure.

 

Taxiway A will be closed between Taxiway Bravo and Taxiway Echo from 2300L Wednesday, September 19th to 0600L Thursday, September 20th.

 

These closures are needed for required geotechnical work that is in preparation for the larger Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation Project.

 

 

Painting of the Runway 5/23 center line is scheduled for this October. This will necessitate an eight hour closure of Runway 5/23 and an one hour closure to fixed-wing aircraft to accommodate painting in the intersection of Runway 5/23 and Runway 13/31. Due to the cooler temperatures potentially affecting the paint drying time, the intersection closure time will be determined closure to the day of work.

 

Runway 5/23 will be closed Saturday, October 13th from 0800L to 1600L.

The rain date for this work is Saturday, October 20th from 0800L to 1600L.
