June Runway Closures
Painting of the Runway 5/23 center line is scheduled for this June. This will necessitate an eight hour closure of Runway 5/23 and an one hour closure to fixed-wing aircraft to accommodate painting in the intersection of Runway 5/23 and Runway 13/31.
Runway 5/23 will be closed Saturday, June 1st from 0800L to 1600L.
The rain date for this work is Saturday, June 15th from 0800L to 1600L.
MMU will be closed to fixed wing traffic on Saturday, June 1st from 1200L to 1300L.

Runway Closures Cancelled for August 4th
| Good Morning,
Due to the forecast inclement weather, construction has been cancelled for this Saturday. There will be no Runway closures this weekend.
The following closures are currently scheduled for construction:
Runway 13-31 will be closed from 0600L Tuesday, August 14th through 1800L Thursday, August 16th. Runway 5-23 will remain open.
MMU will be closed to fixed-wing aircraft on Saturday, August 18th from 0800L to 0900L to accommodate painting in the intersection of both runways.
Runway 5/23 will be closed on Saturday, August 18th from 0900L to 1400L. Runway 13-31 will remain open during this closure.

Upcoming Runway Construction & Closures
| Good Morning,
In preparation for the continued Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation Project, MMU has scheduled construction for Runway 5-23 and Runway 13-31.
The first work will entail repair to a pot hole on the access road for the approach light system at the end of Runway 23. In order to repair this, it is required that Runway 5-23 be closed. We will also use this closure to perform some routine maintenance and painting on the runway.
The second half of the work, will entail milling and paving an overlay of 2,000 feet on Runway 13-31.
The following closures are currently scheduled:
MMU will be closed to fixed-wing aircraft on Saturday, August 4th from 0800L to 0900L to accommodate painting in the intersection of both runways. The rain date for this closure will be Saturday, August 18th from 0800L to 0900L
Runway 5/23 will be closed on Saturday, August 4th from 0900L to 1400L. Runway 13-31 will remain open during this closure. The rain date for this closure will be Saturday August 18th from 0900L to 1400L
Runway 13-31 will be closed from 0600L Tuesday, August 14th through 1800L Thursday, August 16th. Runway 5-23 will remain open.

Update of New Approach Plate for RNAV (GPS) RWY5
| On July 18, 2018, the FAA published a new approach plate for RNAV (GPS) RWY5. The new approach plate has the following changes:
Runway 5 N/A at night GP 3.77 degrees Category D N/A Beginning in June of 2018, the Airport (DM AIRPORTS, LTD) and FAA had several communications to discuss these items during the comment period. As a result of those communications, the airport requested the following changes be made:
Unfortunately, our comments were not advanced as of the publishing on July 18 and these items were not incorporated into the new approach plate. The Airport is currently working with the FAA Flight Procedures group to address these concerns. We will keep everyone advised as we receive additional information.
